In Service pack 2, The wscntfy process belong to security center, its a product of Windows XP in Microsoft company.
Wscntfy.exe is the windows Security center notify application, introduced in windows XP service pack 2. This wscntfy.exe file is located in the folder C:\Windows\System32

It is basically displays a tray icon indicating the status of virus protection, firewall , and windows updates .If you want to disabled Wscntfy.exe just go to “Services” and disable “Security center” but it’s not recommended.
